Lin Fu who worked at a fashion company had long been a secret admirer of Wang Danning who grew up in an orphanage but never had a chance to acquaint her. But Lin did not know that his company was one of the customers of the orphanage, whose girls did all the sewing for fashion companies to support the expenses of their home. One day Wang was sent by the head of the orphanage Sister Kong to deliver some clothes to Lin's company, which was holding a model selection. Manager Zhou thought Wang was one of the contestants and highly appraised her, but Wang was not convinced. Lin then volunteered to persuade Wang to be the company's model in the upcoming fashion show.

To raise money for the orphanage's maintenance, Wang and her roommates Peipei and Lili accepted Lin's offer. However, they were surprised and embarrassed to find that the clothes they were going to wear were too sexy to go on stage. The girls wanted to withdraw, but were at the same time worried about the funds for maintenance. After some discussion they decided that only Wang should perform the fashion show as promised but Sister Kong should never be told of the event. Wang's performance was a great success and raised 6,000 dollars for the orphanage. When Lin delivered the cheque with excitement, Sister Kong refused to accept and accused Wang of ruining the orphanage's reputation by involving in such an indecent show. She went on to tear the cheque apart.

Despite this Lin invited Wang to participate in another fashion show to raise funds for orphans, and Wang agreed. After the show a group of journalists flocked to the orphanage to interview Wang, which once again sparked off Sister's Kong tempers. She expelled Wang from the orphanage. Wang could hardly sleep in her last night in the orphanage. At midnight when a storm swept through, Wang remembered that there was a damaged wall in the infants' room and fetched her roommates to save the little girls from danger. But Sister Kong was injured as the wall collapsed as she had tried to save the old furniture. When receiving treatment at the hospital Sister Kong felt sorry for her stubbornness. She said she would accept the donations raised at the fashion show for the re-building of the orphanage. Wang went on to mobilise help from all orphans of her age. When the orphanage re-opened, Wang went to receive Sister Kong at the hospital. Manager Zhou and his colleagues also arrived at the orphanage to send their congratulations. With Sister Kong's approval of Lin and Wang's marriage, the orphanage was filled with joy.
